Actress Sharon Stone has admitted that she is having a hard time coming to terms with the death of her ex, filmmaker and Hollywood financier, Steve Bing.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office confirmed that his death last Monday was due to “multiple blunt trauma” by suicide.
He had reportedly been struggling with mental health issues which were made particularly acute by the isolation brought about by the Covid-19 inspired stay at home orders.
Speaking to Extra, Stone said she had struggled to come to terms with the death of Bing, who she was rumoured to be dating for most of the 90s.
“This is really hard. I had a really hard time with it,” she said. “He’s a complicated person who I didn’t think always make good decisions. It’s a tough one. It’s a very tough one.”

Bing’s son Damian Hurley, who he shared with actress Liz Hurley, thanked his Instagram followers for their support following news of his father’s death.
“This is a very strange and confusing time and I’m immensely grateful to be surrounded by my phenomenal family and friends” he wrote.
His mother, Liz Hurley, posted pictures of her with Bing on Instagram, acknowledging the good times they had together.
“I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us,” she wrote.
“It is a terrible end. Our time together was very happy and I’m posting these pictures because although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter. In the past year we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday. This is devastating news…” Daily Mast
