Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement following an alleged fight with another inmate at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, an incident that could potentially affect the length of his prison sentence if disciplinary action is taken.
According to TMZ, the alleged altercation occurred after another inmate reportedly insulted Combs, prompting a physical confrontation. Sources cited by the outlet claimed the pair exchanged blows before correctional officers intervened and ended the fight.
The report further alleges that Combs was immediately moved into solitary confinement after the incident. However, it remains unclear whether he is still being held there.
Prison authorities have declined to comment on the claims.
A representative for FCI Fort Dix told TMZ that the facility could not disclose internal information relating to individual inmates.
“We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain,” the spokesperson said.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also reportedly declined to discuss the matter, citing privacy, safety and security policies that prevent it from commenting on disciplinary issues involving inmates.
Representatives for Combs had not responded to requests for comment at the time of publication.
If prison officials determine that Combs violated prison rules, the alleged incident could have consequences beyond disciplinary measures. His current projected release date of February 2028 is based in part on receiving credit for good behaviour, and any disciplinary findings could affect those credits.
For now, authorities have not publicly confirmed the reported altercation or announced whether any disciplinary action has been taken.
The reported prison incident comes as Combs continues to deal with multiple civil lawsuits stemming from allegations of misconduct and abuse. His legal team has also reportedly experienced difficulties communicating with him while he remains incarcerated.
Whether the alleged altercation will have any lasting impact on his sentence or legal situation remains uncertain as officials continue to withhold details.
