LGBTQ organization finally forgives DaBaby after homophobic slur

Must Try

Rapper DaBaby just got the green light to hit live stages again, after he was cancelled over his homophobic rants. One LGBTQ organization says they are now cool with DaBaby although comedian Dave Chappelle remains in the firing line.

The CEO for Relationship Unleashed, Gwendolyn D. Clemons told TMZ she and her cohorts at the nonprofit can now comfortably sign off on DaBaby’s appearance at Rolling Loud NY last week and for future concerts as they feel he’s learned a lot over the past few months.

Clemons claims she and her team met with DaBaby together with other LGBTQ orgs. She insists they got through to him on why his diatribe about AIDS was hurtful and harmful.

Clemons says DB made those statements coming from a place of ignorance but he now gets it… and that’s why her organization can cosign his latest Rolling Loud cameo, and others to come.

Clemons says unlike DaBaby, Chappelle, 48, knows “exactly what he’s doing” by refusing to show remorse or empathy for spouting transphobic hate-speech throughout his controversial Netflix special “The Closer.”

A defiant Chappelle meanwhile agreed to meet with members of the transgender community under his specified terms.

“To the transgender community, I am more than willing to give you an audience, but you will not summon me. I am not bending to anybody’s demands,” the comedian said in an Instagram clip last week.
