Hip Hop mogul Jay Z has quit Instagram just a day after joining the social media platform. The 51-year-old joined Instagram on Tuesday, racking more than 2.1 million followers and verifying his account, but he has now exited the platform.
The account has now been removed from Instagram. During his brief time on the platform he only followed his wife Beyoncè .
Apart from following each other on IG, Jay and Beyoncè have collaborated musically, toured together, and, most recently, joined forces for Tiffany & Co.’s About Love campaign.
The couple – who have daughter Blue Ivy, nine, and four-year-old twins Rumi and Sir together – recently pledged $2 million to fund college scholarships as they teamed up with Tiffany & Co. to fund places at five historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) via their charities BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter Foundation.
His first and only post on Instagram was a countdown for the release of a new Netflix movie ‘The Harder They Fall’. Jigga is one of the film’s producers which launched on Netflix on Wednesday, he also wrote the music.
The movies stars Idris Elba, Regina King, Jonathan Majors, Zazie Beetz and Delroy Lindo.
