Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) and UFC fighter Conor McGregor were involved in an altercation on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.
The rapper and the mixed martial arts star had a squabble moments before entering the ceremony which was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Megan Fox- Kelly’s girlfriend is said to be among the team of people who stepped in between the pair.
According to TMZ the squabble begun after Conor reached out to introduce himself to Kelly but the star’s team pushed him away.
Footage also taken from the scene shows Conor throwing some of his beverages during the altercation on the red carpet.
Conor said absolutely nothing’ happened and he didn’t know Kelly whom he labeled a ‘vanilla boy rapper’.
“I don’t know. He showed up, and I don’t know. I don’t know the guy. Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean?
“I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox,” said McGregor.
Conor who suffered an injury during his last UFC fight against Dustin Poirier in July appeared to have thrown away his walking aid during the altercation.
Kelly later wowed the audience during the ceremony when he performed with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
