British media personality and model Katie Price’s son, 18 year old Harvey Yorke was yesterday admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his temperature soared to 42 degrees as he struggled to breathe.
This is the second time in as many weeks that the teenager, who has a number of health issues including partial blindness and the genetic condition Prader-Willi Syndrome, has been rushed to hospital.
He is believed to be at a risk of organ failure.
In posts on her Twitter and Instagram accounts, Price thanked healthcare workers that had attended to her son while confirming that his condition had stabilised.
“I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands and would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable,” she wrote.
Harvey recently fell ill at a party for his younger sister Princess’s 13th birthday which was being held at his mother’s rented Surrey Mansion.
A source close to Price told The Sun that she feared the worst.
Recently Price told the same publication that she was hoping that her son would pass away before she did because he had needs that only she could cater for.
“Katie has been preparing herself for this moment all his life and she’s been told Harvey is in a perilous condition,” the source said.
“She’s been here before, but this time it’s far more serious. She’s trying to be tough and strong, but inside she’s falling apart and feels helpless.”
