Drake has reached another major streaming milestone, becoming just the second rapper in Spotify history to surpass 100 million monthly listeners.
The achievement places the Canadian superstar alongside Kendrick Lamar, who previously crossed the same mark during one of the most successful periods of his career.
Drake’s latest surge has been fueled by the release of three new projects — *ICEMAN*, *MAID OF HONOUR* and *HABIBTI* — which have helped drive millions of additional streams across the platform.
However, industry observers point out that the milestone is about more than just new music.
A significant portion of Drake’s streaming power continues to come from his extensive back catalog. Albums such as *Take Care*, *Views* and *Certified Lover Boy* remain among the most-streamed rap releases on Spotify years after their release, highlighting the longevity of his global appeal.
The achievement has also reignited comparisons between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, whose careers have become increasingly intertwined both commercially and culturally.
Kendrick previously surpassed the 100 million monthly listener mark during the height of his *GNX* era, powered by blockbuster songs including *Not Like Us*, *Luther* and *TV Off*.
Although Kendrick’s monthly listener count has since cooled, he still commands more than 69 million monthly listeners, placing him among the platform’s most-streamed artists.
The milestone adds another chapter to the ongoing rivalry between the two rap giants, who have dominated headlines, streaming charts and industry conversations over the past year.
With Drake now joining Kendrick in the exclusive 100-million-listener club, the pair continue to operate in a streaming tier that few artists — regardless of genre — have ever reached.
As the battle for rap supremacy continues, one thing remains clear: when it comes to streaming dominance, Drake and Kendrick Lamar are in a league of their own.
