Malik Beasley’s wife Montana Yao ‘files for divorce’ after cheating scandal
NBA star Malik Beasley’s wife Montana Yao has reportedly filed for divorce just days after his cheating scandal became public.
Pictures of Malik holding hands with ex Kardashian friend Larsa Pippen were released earlier this week. After the pictures were released, Yao took to Instagram to express her shock.
“Wow… I don’t even know this man… this is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all,” she posted.
“Montana filed for a divorce the day she saw the photos,” an insider told E!
“Montana never cheated, and it’s not in her character. She’s not dating anybody. She’s a family person. She’s focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority.”
Prior to Malik’s controversial outing with Pippen, the 24-year-old athlete said he wanted to take the mother of four on a date, asking her out via an Instagram comment.
“I just want to take you on a date and treat you like a queen,” Beasley wrote under Pippen’s sexy selfie post.
Pippen, who filed for divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen in 2018 also posted a telling message on Instagram.
“Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar,” she wrote.
Pippen’s 20-year-old son, Scotty Pippen Jr., also addressed the internet buzz Tuesday on Twitter.
“Focused on myself and my goals. I’m not responsible for nobody’s actions. All good over here,” he tweeted.
