Former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst (30) has died after she jumped from a 60-story building in New York on Sunday morning, her family and police have confirmed.

Kryst who was crowned Miss USA in 2019, died after jumping from a building in Manhattan.

In a statement to CNN, her family wrote, “In devastation and great sorrow we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.”

Prior to her death the pageant Queen posted a picture of herself with a cryptic caption. “May this day bring you rest and peace,” read the caption.

Apart from being a catwalk Queen, Kryst was an attorney who wanted to help reform America’s justice system. She is also well educated, she received three degrees from two universities.
