UFC flyweight Zhalgas Zhumagulov has revealed his appreciation for polygamy admitting he has six children with two wives and that ‘in principle, its normal.”

The Kazakhstan fighter said this during his appearance on the Let Me Interrupt You MMA podcast. He said, “At first, there were challenges but now everything is fine.

“Yes, I have two wives and six kids.”

Although the practice of polygamy is legal and socially accepted in over 70 countries in the world, it is illegal throughout North America, South America and in the European Union. It was illegal in Kazakhstan but was later decriminalized in 1998.

Zhumagulov described his living arrangement saying, “Well, where did I leave from? If I left for example, from my second wife, I go to the first. If I left the first, I go to the second. A day here, a day there.”

The 33-year-old fighter has competed in regional MMA promotions in Russia, Kazakhstan and China until he signed with the UFC in 2020.

He has fought four times in the UFC, won only one match and lost three. He has an overall pro MMA record of 14 wins (seven knockouts, one submission and six decisions) against six loses.
