Some Power fans viewers have taken exception to some sex scenes in the spinoff series, Power Book II: Ghost, with viewers taking particular exception to the on screen intimacy between Carrie Milgram and Jabari Reynolds.

Carrie and Jabari are both professors at a university where Tariq is getting his higher education from. Carrie is battling a sex addiction and in the latest episode, Jabari took advantage of the situation in a steamy-yet-manipulative sex scene.

The fourth episode of the series got some mixed reviews, especially when his professor started getting hot and heavy with her manipulative ex-fiancé.

Jabari got some flak from Reddit users, with one observing: “Apparently she’s got some sort of addiction to love/sex and the guy professor knows it and takes advantage of it.

“He knows that she’s easily swayed by words and doesn’t take much for her to go all-in. Then he flips the script and leaves her an emotional wreck. Dude is the definition of toxic.”

Another viewer who had seemingly grown tired of the sex scenes between the pair wrote: “What is the end goal with the two professors? Really feeling like they are wasting screen time.”

Another added: “Horrible writing and acting as usual from Power. It’s pretty much a series staple at this point. Along with over-gratuitous sex scenes. Hilarious,” while a third wrote: “I agree completely. They don’t really have a purpose to the overall story.”
