Kim Kardashian says she is willing to put aside the hurtful things her ex-husband Kanye West has said about her so their four children can maintain a relationship with their father.
The SKIMS co-founder discussed their co-parenting relationship in Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, a biography by Jonathan Van Meter that she took part in.

Kardashian said West visits the children every few months and that she sometimes tells them he is travelling because she wants them to think highly of him.
“I still make up stories and protect [the kids] because I want them to think their dad is the greatest,” she said.
Kardashian encourages contact with their father
Kardashian said she regularly invites West to family dinners and offers him time with the children at their home. She has also suggested that he stay overnight, including on Christmas Eve with his wife, Bianca Censori.
“I will sweep everything under the rug, all the horrible things he has said about me, so that the kids can see their father,” she said.

Kardashian and West share North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. She said she welcomes members of West’s family to spend time with the children and encourages their relationship with him.
She says co-parenting remains difficult
Kardashian said she still worries about West because he is the father of her children, describing that concern as “a big burden”. She said their co-parenting has been relatively smooth recently, though they do not communicate often and sometimes messages go through Censori or West’s manager.
She also said her therapist has advised her to strengthen her boundaries. Kardashian expressed doubt that her relationship with West would improve, but said she hopes it does for the sake of their children.
