Lil Wayne has emerged victorious in a legal battle with his former bodyguard after a court ruled in the rapper’s favor and ordered the ex-employee to pay thousands of dollars.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles judge entered judgment for the rap superstar in a lawsuit filed by former bodyguard Christian Carlos.

Carlos had accused Lil Wayne of assault with a firearm during an alleged confrontation at the rapper’s Hidden Hills-area home in 2021.

In a lawsuit filed in December 2023, Carlos claimed the dispute began after Wayne allegedly accused him of leaking photographs. He alleged that the confrontation escalated and involved a firearm.

The Grammy-winning rapper denied the allegations.

The case has now ended with the court dismissing Carlos’ claims and awarding monetary sanctions against him.

Court records show Carlos has been ordered to pay a total of $29,225. The amount includes a previously awarded $26,000, plus an additional $3,225 imposed after the lawsuit was thrown out.

The ruling marks a significant legal victory for Wayne, whose legal team fought the claims for more than a year.

While Carlos originally sought damages from the rapper, the outcome leaves the former bodyguard owing thousands of dollars instead.

Neither Wayne nor Carlos has publicly commented on the latest ruling.

The decision closes another chapter in a dispute that began with allegations stemming from an incident at the rapper’s California property and ultimately ended with the court siding firmly with the music icon.
