American singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, and record producer Ne-Yo says he does not believe that authorities should regulate how many people a person is supposed to marry, as matters of the heart are above any law.
Ne-Yo said this as cameras caught him walking hand in hand with his two girlfriends in Los Angeles, where having two or more spouses is illegal.
“I feel like in the realm of love and romance you should let people do whatever the hell they want to do,” Ne-Yo told TMZ. “Can’t see how it’s hurting anybody.”
Asked about what he thought about legalising polygamy, Ne-Yo said he was in support of it, adding that he does not, “need the government to tell me what I can and can’t do in my personal life.”
TMZ reporters inquire about Ne-Yo's perspective on having multiple partners as he goes for a walk accompanied by his two girlfriends.

The musician said fans might hear him touch on the subject of having two women in his life in his next musical project.
“The songs come out depending on the situation and the circumstance. This is the first time that I’ve been in a relationship, situation, like this, so it’s not to say that no songs about it will come.
“They’ll come,” he confirmed. “I just, I don’t force it when it comes to music. It happens naturally. It happens organically.”
Ne-Yo’s divorce to his ex-wife, Crystal Renay was finalised last year.
Their relationship broke down back in July 2022 when Crystal Renay revealed that Ne-Yo cheated multiple times during their eight-year marriage and secretly had a child with another woman.
“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every last one of them,” she said in an Instagram post.
