O.J Simpson (76) has reportedly been diagnosed with prostate cancer according to a report by the Miami based Local 10 News, an affiliate of ABC.
The former NFL player who was notoriously acquitted of the double murder of his ex-wife and and her fiend in 90’s is said to be undergoing chemotherapy.
Simpson has since taken to social media to deny the hospice rumors, but did not reference the Local 10 News report that he is undergoing treatment for cancer.
In a clip posted to his 870,000 followers on X, he can be seen sitting in his car, telling the camera: ‘Hospice? Hospice? You talking about hospice,’ before bursting into laughter.
‘I don’t know who put that out there… like The Donald [Trump] say, you can’t trust the media! In any event, I’m hosting a ton of friends for the Super Bowl here in Las Vegas, and all is well. So hey guys, take care, and have a good Super Bowl weekend.’
In 1995 Simpson was tried over the death of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman who were found brutally murdered outside his home in Los Angeles.
His acquittal came nine months after the well-publicized trial got underway in 1995, and around 16 months after Simpson and Goldman were found.
