Rapper DMX in ‘grave condition’ after drug overdose triggers heart attack

Rapper DMX is reportedly in critical condition after taking a drug overdose. The rapper, 50, is believed to have been rushed to a New York hospital on Friday (2 April), with sources claiming the overdose triggered a heart attack.

Showbiz website TMZ claims DMX has “some brain activity”, but that he was in a “vegetative state”. Fellow rappers Missy Elliott and Rick Ross, led “prayers” for the star.

Sources told the tabloid DMX overdosed around 11pm Friday and was rushed to the hospital in White Plains, New York, where he is now in critical care.
