Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died without a will, wife applies for probate
Chadwick Boseman’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward has filed for a probate, less than two months after the Black Panther star’s death, as it has emerged that he passed away without a will.
Boseman died on August 28 after a long but secret battle with colon cancer. He was 43.
According to court documents seen by ET, the estimated value of Boseman’s estate is $938,500.
The pair started dating before Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, and reportedly got engaged last year. They got married before his passing.
In March 2019, Boseman showed a rare sign of public affection to Ledward when he accepted an Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture prize at the NAACP Image Awards.
“Simone, you’re with me every day. I have to acknowledge you right now. Love you.”
Chadwick’s parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman are also mentioned in the probate.
