Presidential hopeful Kanye West tweeted that he has been trying to divorce wife Kim Kardashian since she linked up with fellow rapper Meek Mill, as concerns grow that the Yeezy founder is spiralling out of control with mental health problems bedevilling him.
In a series of late night tweets which he later deleted, Kanye claimed that he has been trying to leave his reality TV star wife ever since she had hooked up with the Philly rapper.
The tweets were later deleted.
“I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Waldorf for ‘prison reform,‘” the Grammy-winner wrote.
“Meek is my man and was respectful,” he added. “That’s my dog Kim was out of line.”
It is thought that West was referring to a criminal justice summit attended by Kim and Meek Mill in November 2018.
The rapper reserved particular scorn for his mother-in-law Kris Jenner, calling her “Kris Jong-Un” and accusing the pair of “white supremacy” while repeating his claim that his wife and mother-in-law had “tried to fly in with two doctors” to have him admitted to hospital after his lengthy speech to an audience in North Charleston, South Carolina on Sunday.
Kanye West made wild claims that Michael Jackson was murdered by apparently referencing his fallout with music mogul Tommy Mottola.
“Kim saved my daughter’s life in the name of Jesus. It’s God’s choice only. I will live for my children Kris I’m in Cody if you’re not planning another one of your children’s playboy shoots.”
The latest meltdown comes amidst claims that Kanye and Kim have been at each other’s throats for most of the lockdown, with sources saying that the Kardashian family was clueless on how to help the billionaire rapper because he was not receptive to any help.
However, in a statement on Instagram, Kim came to the defence of her husband, as she acknowledged his mental health struggles.
“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand.
“I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”
Kim continued in the social media post, “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor.
“People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”
