As the fallout over his controversial presidential bid continues, Kanye West’s wife Kim Kardashian wants his campaign to end, as she is reportedly furious at the damage it is having on their family.
Kanye’s campaign kicked off on a controversial note on Sunday, with the rapper saying he was campaigning on a pro-life ticket after his wife almost had an abortion while pregnant with his first child.
According to the Daily Mail, following the revelations at the rally, the rapper told his wife he needed “something big” to kickstart his campaign.
“In the Bible, it says, ‘Thou shall not kill,'” he said. “I remember that my girlfriend called me screaming and crying, and I was just thinking, because at that time I was a rapper I was out there, [had] different girlfriends and everything … and she said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ And I said, ‘Yes!’ And then I said, ‘Uh oh.’ ”
“She was crying … and for one month and two months and three months, we talked about her not having this child. She had the pills in her hand,” West continued.
The revelation of sensitive private information had irked Kim, who is worried about the effect it may have on their children.
“Kim is shocked that Kanye spoke about North at the rally,” a source told PEOPLE. “She is furious that he shared something so private.”
The source continued : “She loves her kids tremendously and wants to protect them,” the source says. “Her favorite thing in the world is being a mom.”
Another insider told PEOPLE that the couple’s relationship was taking strain from West’s increasingly unpredictable behaviour.
“Things have broken down significantly between the two of them, and it’s happened pretty suddenly,” the insider said.
Kanye took to twitter on Monday evening to rant about the inner happenings in the West household, firing off a series of tweets aimed at his wife and mother in law Kris Jenner.
The tweets were later deleted.
“Kriss [sic] don’t play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children,” the rapper and presidential hopeful wrote. “Ya’ll tried to lock me up.”
He continued, “Everybody knows the movie get out is about me.”
Equating himself with Nelson Mandela, he also claimed that none of his children will ever pose for Playboy, something that his wife once did. He also referenced her sextape with singer Ray J.
“I put my life on the line for my children that North’s mother would never sell her sex rape [sic].”
“I put my life on my God that North’s mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that’s on God,” he added. “I’m at the ranch… come and get me.”
