Things got emotional for Eva Marcille in the reunion episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta as she narrated the abuse she suffered at the hands of ex Kevin McCall.

In an episode that took viewers into the individual reality stars’ homes as they observed social distancing guidelines, Marcille narrated how what had at first seemed like a casual sexual fling turned into a domestic abuse nightmare.

Marcille and McCall have a daughter, 6 year old Marley, from that union.

“So to keep it completely real, it was one of those situations where I was like on that ‘I’m doing me thing’… And I met this guy, we hung out, we definitely started having sex, but we weren’t in a real serious relationship.

“And then I ended up finding out that I was pregnant,” she said. “And I know that a few of the ladies on this screen are victims of abuse, if it’s verbal or physical or mental, but it was one of those things where I had definitely saw signs before.

“I don’t know why I was naive enough to think that it wouldn’t be me. But I told no one — until he beat me so bad that I couldn’t help it.”

Despite the abuse, Marcille said that she was happy that her time with McCall had given her a lasting gift in the form of her daughter.

“He was put in my life so that I could bring the biggest sunshine into my family, which is my daughter Marley. I wouldn’t take it back ’cause if I took it back, I wouldn’t have her,” she said.

Meanwhile, RHOA powerhouse Nene Leakes walked off the set, further fueling speculation that she might be leaving the show for good.

Over the weekend, Leakes told People that she was considering her future on RHOA. “I don’t know. I just don’t know,” Leakes, 52, said.

“I got back and forth with it every day. I feel like it’s a big conversation I need to have with the network and with production. Because if they value their talent in some sort of way, then we need to talk. We need to come up with some sort of compromise here.”

“This time, being quarantined [amid the coronavirus pandemic] has really made me appreciate a lot of things about my life anyway,” Leakes added.

“I keep saying to people, ‘I want my life back.’ I can’t have these girls fighting with me on TV for no reason anymore. I’ve got to move forward. And if that’s all you want from me, I have to move on and I got to go. Me and my wig got to leave, honey.” Daily Mast
