Rapper and Cash Money Records boss Birdman has offered to pay rent for residents in Uptown New Orleans who are struggling financially as COVID-19 continues to have an adverse impact on the economy and employment in America.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, the 51-year-old, whoseย real name is Bryan Williams, offered to pay the rent for residents of his childhood neighborhood.
โI would like 2 offer to pay everybody rent for month of May (for those who in need) in residents area of UPTOWN New Orleans where I was born and raised at from mac melph calio and ST Thomas housing also from 3rd ward to 17th ward,” he wrote.

The man whose rap empire has spawned such stars as Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake gave a detailed explanation of how he wanted the offer to unfold.
While asking for the mayor to lend a helping hand, Birdman also thanked health workers risking their lives in the midst of the pandemic.
“I would like HANO to support us on accomplishing this and @q93fm I also spoke with @theuptownangela to help me put this together I would like our mayor @mayorcantrell help support this cause.”

โWe have been going back and forth on wedding dates. We had a great date but then it was getting too big, we didnโt want a big wedding,โ Braxton said.
โThen we said, โโOK, we donโt want it too small. Then he said, โOK, letโs do the drive-thru.โ Iโm like, โWe are not doing a drive-thru. Iโm not ordering fries after we get married, babe. Weโve been trying to figure it out, but we are definitely gonna do it this year.”
