Gypsy Rose Blanchard was involved in a minor car crash in Louisiana on Saturday, just weeks after the death of her partner, Ken Urker.
The Louisiana State Police confirmed that officers responded to a collision involving Blanchard, 35, and an unidentified man in Terrebonne Parish on October 17.
The crash resulted in minor property damage, but no injuries were reported. Police also confirmed that nobody was arrested.
Further details about what caused the collision or whether either driver received a citation have not been released.
Social media user claims car was sideswiped
TMZ, which first reported the incident, cited a Facebook post from someone who claimed to have been involved in the collision.
“2026 is wild. Just got sideswiped by Gypsy Rose. FML,” the person reportedly wrote.
Police have not publicly confirmed that account or assigned responsibility for the crash.
Incident follows Ken Urker’s death
The collision occurred just over two weeks after Urker, the father of Blanchard’s daughter Aurora, was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana.
He died on October 1, his 34th birthday. Authorities are continuing to investigate his death.
Blanchard previously said she believed Urker may have died from an overdose but acknowledged that she did not know whether it was intentional. An official cause and manner of death had not been announced.
The couple welcomed Aurora in December 2024 after rekindling a relationship that began while Blanchard was serving her prison sentence.
Blanchard described Urker as an “amazing father” and her “soulmate” following his death.
Who is Blanchard?
Blanchard became widely known because of the extraordinary criminal case surrounding the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for helping plan the killing after enduring years of alleged medical and psychological abuse. Blanchard served eight years of a 10-year prison sentence before being released in December 2023.
