Rapper Lucki suffered a bloody laceration during a violent altercation outside ComplexCon in Los Angeles that left four people injured, including victims with suspected knife wounds.
Videos circulating online show the 30-year-old Chicago rapper being helped into a vehicle with blood visible around his face and neck following the confrontation on Saturday.
Playboi Carti was also present in the area but appeared to be watching the disturbance from inside a nearby vehicle. There is no confirmed evidence that he personally participated in the fight.
Lucki reportedly attacked while meeting fans
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Lucki was surrounded by fans and taking photographs in a parking area at approximately 4.40pm when an unidentified person struck him on the side of his face.
The blow reportedly caused a laceration.
One video shows a disorientated Lucki attempting to enter the front passenger seat of a car before someone directs him towards the back. He can be seen holding his bloodied face as people around him try to assist.
Some social media posts claimed that Lucki had been stabbed, but authorities have not publicly confirmed precisely how the rapper sustained his injury.
Four people injured during altercation
The Los Angeles Police Department said officers responded to reports of a fight outside the convention at approximately 4.45pm.
The confrontation was still under way when officers arrived, but the people involved quickly dispersed.
Police located four people with injuries described as consistent with stab wounds or lacerations.
Two victims were taken to hospital with injuries that appeared to have resulted from a knife attack.
A third person travelled to hospital using private transport and received treatment for a severe laceration believed to have been sustained during the altercation.
The fourth victim suffered a cut to the elbow but declined medical treatment at the scene. Police said it was unclear whether that person later sought treatment.
Three of the injured people were reportedly in stable condition. Lucki’s precise medical condition was not immediately disclosed, although he reposted content on Instagram several hours after the incident.
Attempted murder investigation opened
TMZ reported that the LAPD is investigating the confrontation as an attempted murder.
Authorities have not identified any suspects or confirmed how many people may have participated in the violence.
No arrests had been announced at the time of publication, and the cause of the confrontation remains under investigation.
Online claims that the fight involved members of Lucki and Playboi Carti’s respective entourages have not been officially confirmed.
ComplexCon issues statement
ComplexCon said the incident occurred on a public street outside its event.
“The safety and security of our guests, talent, partners and staff is our highest priority,” organisers said in a statement.
The organisation said its security personnel and LAPD officers responded immediately and that it was treating the incident seriously.
The 2026 edition of ComplexCon, marking the event’s 10th anniversary, was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena on 3 and 4 October.
Representatives for Lucki and Playboi Carti had not publicly commented on the incident at the time of publication.
