Rapper Megan Thee Stallion says iconic music couple, The Carters, (Beyoncé and Jay-Z) contradict each other in their advice. She says Beyoncé is more sensible than her ‘fun’ husband.

The WAP hit maker has turned to the iconic celebrity couple for advice on life in the spotlight multiple times, and has said that Jay-Z tends to give ‘fun advice’, whilst his wife is more diplomatic.

“I would say Jay Z gives fun advice. Like say if I’m having a bad day he’ll be like, ‘Megan, girl you need to be somewhere driving a boat. Turn up. Have a good time. Forget them people. He gives me more hot girl advice.

Beyoncé is like, ‘Look girl just rise above.’ She says it the nicer way, and Jay gives it to me the turnt up way.” She said.

Megan who grew up as a fan of Beyoncé’s former band, Destiny’s Child still can’t believe she now speaks to her ‘icon’ and husband at a more personal level.

During her appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” she said,

“I remember the first time I ever saw Destiny’s Child in concert. It was at the Rodeo and it was just amazing. I remember being a little kid like, ‘Wow I want to do this one day.’

“Just being from Houston, you have to know what Beyoncé just means to us. She’s like the standard, so being able to just speak to Beyoncé now, I’m like, girl, pat on the back because this is great.”

The rapper cum businesswoman had her first public encounter with Beyoncé earlier this year when they had a collaboration for a charity remix on Megan’s song, ‘Savage’. All proceeds from the remix went to support Bread of Life Houston’s Covid relief efforts.

And at the time, Megan admitted she “cried” when she got the chance to perform with the “Formation” singer.

She said: “It was still like, is it really gonna drop? Are we doing this for real, for real? And I mean I cried … like, I had to call my grandma. I was like, ‘Nanny! I got a song with Beyoncé.'”
