Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp once described his wife as a ”c**” who is “as full of s*t as a Christmas goose”, with the actor telling his personal medic that she only used their marriage as a stepping stone.
“I just cannot live like this,” Depp told his private doctor, David Kipper, shortly before he went to a hospital after his fingertip was severed after a vicious 2015 fight in Australia, London’s High Court heard on the sixth day of the star’s life libel case.
The case arose out of the publication of an article on the Sun’s website headlined: “Gone Potty: How can JK Rowling be ‘genuinely happy’ casting wife beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?”.
The outlet’s article stemmed from allegations made by Heard that Depp star had assaulted her as many as 14 times during a marriage that lasted from 2015 to 2017.
“I’m done. NO MORE!!!” he texted his doc, calling the “Aquaman” actress “as full of s**t as a Christmas goose!!!”
“The constant insults, the demeaning, belittling, most heartbreaking spew that is only released from a malicious, evil and vindictive c***!!!!!” he texted, the court was told.
“FAR MORE hurtful than her venomous and degrading, endless ‘educational’ ranting…??? Is her hideously and purposely hurtful tirades and her goddam shocking treatment of the man she was meant to love, above all,” he wrote to his doctor.
He also claimed that Heard was obsessed with attaining success at all costs.
“Here’s the real deal, mate… Her obsession with herself..?? Is far more important… She is SO F***IN’ AMBITIOUS!!! She’s so desperate for success and fame… That’s probably why I was acquired, mate…!!” he wrote.
He also said he was embarrassed for “jumping into” his union with Heard.
“I’m so very sad… I cut the top of my middle finger off… What should I do!?? Except, of course, go to a hospital,” he texted his doctor. I’m so embarrassed for jumping into anything with her…”
Depp has accused Heard of cutting off the tip of his finger when she hurled a vodka bottle, but wrote at the time that he had caused the injury himself.
This, Depp’s longtime bodyguard Malcolm Connolly said, was attempt by the actor to cover up for his abuser.
“The usual victim pattern is to protect the abuser for some reason, you know the psychological bullying … they fit the same criteria, they never come forward with the information,” he said.
