Jada Pinkett Smith has finally broken her silence on singer August Alsina’s claims that the two had an affair, announcing on Twitter that the explosive issue would be tackled on the next episode of her Red Table Talk show.

Alsina sparked a storm this week after telling the Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee that she had an affair with Jada with husband Will Smith’s blessing.

“I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership,” he said. “He gave me his blessing.”

Despite representatives of the couple claiming that the claims were not true, rumors of the two’s affair and questions about the nature of their relationship have also not gone away.

In a tweet posted on Thursday, Jada said the time for healing had come. “There’s some healing that needs to happen…so I’m bringing myself to The Red Table,” she wrote.

During the interview with Yee, Alsina said he did not want to cause any trouble for the Smiths, saying he was only coming out because the relationship with Jada had led to the loss of several opportunities for him.

“Contrary to what people may believe, I am not a troublemaker. I don’t like drama. Drama actually makes me nauseous.

“And I also don’t think that it is ever important for people to know what I do, who I sleep with, who I date … but in this instance it is very different because as I said, there are so many people that are sid-eyeing me, looking at me questionable [sic].

“I have lost money, friendships, relationships behind it and I think it is because people don’t necessarily know the truth. But I have never done anything wrong.”
