George Foreman has pleaded with Mike Tyson to not go ahead with his planned boxing comeback and insisted he has ‘done enough great things’.

Tyson, 53, revealed last week that he had been working out intensely, and was eyeing a few exhibition fights later in the year.

The youngest heavyweight champion in history told rapper T.I. on Instagram Live last week that he had been working out intensely recently with a return to boxing on the cards.

“I’ve been hitting the mitts for the last week.I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring, I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape.

“I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.

“Some charity exhibitions, make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf****er like me,” he said.

Foreman, the oldest ever heavyweight boxing champion at 45 back in 1994, told World Boxing News that he hoped Tyson would not make his planned comeback.

“Tyson has done enough great things for boxing. No more is needed. He is in the Hall of Fame and was a mighty puncher.”

The 53 year old Tyson ended a glittering but controversial career when he fought against journeyman Kevin McBride in 2005.
