At the height of the coronavirus epidemic in Italy, the controversial dating antics of the country’s former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi are taking centre stage after he dumped his 34-year-old long-term girlfriend for a new one aged just 30.
The 83-year-old billionaire, famed for his steamy ‘bunga bunga’ dinner parties, has left 34-year old Francesca Pascale for younger model, 30-year old Marta Fascina, 54 years his junior. He had spent 12 years with Pascale before the latest split.
Pascale is quoted saying; “I will hold him dear forever. I wish him all the happiness in the world and hope he finds someone who will take care of him as I have,’ said the blonde, who first caught Berlusconi’s eye when she founded a fan club for him.”
Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party issued a statement on Wednesday saying the former PM and Pascale ‘remain friends’.
Berlusconi is a twice divorced Italian media tycoon and politician who served as Prime Minister of Italy in four governments. He is the controlling shareholder of Mediaset and owned the Italian football club A.C. Milan from 1986 to 2017.
In 2013 he was sentenced to seven years in jail for paying for sex with a 17-year-old starlet known as ‘Ruby the Heart-Stealer’.
