Russell Brand has been found guilty of rape and three sexual assaults following a four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court.
The 51-year-old was convicted on Thursday, 5 November, of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault. The offences involved four women and took place between 2004 and 2009, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Brand had denied all the charges. He was found not guilty of two other rape charges and one charge of attempted indecent assault.
Judge remands Brand in custody
After the verdicts, the judge said Brand faced a significant custodial sentence and remanded him in custody. He is due to be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.

The jury considered seven charges involving six women. The alleged offences dated from 1999 to 2009. The four convictions relate to four women.
What the case involved
The charges were brought after a Metropolitan Police investigation into allegations of non-recent sexual offences. The trial lasted four weeks.
The Crown Prosecution Service said the convictions followed evidence presented in court. Police said investigators gathered material from more than 100 witnesses and reviewed thousands of documents.
The women who gave evidence are entitled to lifelong anonymity. Their identities cannot be published.
Brand’s conviction follows allegations made publicly in 2023. He denied the criminal charges and pleaded not guilty before the trial.
