Jay-Z has secured a significant legal win in his ongoing war with high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee after a Texas judge dismissed claims against Roc Nation in two separate lawsuits.
According to court documents, the judge ruled that Texas courts do not have personal jurisdiction over Roc Nation, leading to the dismissal of all claims against the entertainment company.
The lawsuits were brought by two former clients of Buzbee and stemmed from allegations that Roc Nation and attorneys linked to Jay-Z’s camp improperly targeted them during the fallout from legal controversies surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs and later allegations involving Jay-Z himself.

The ruling does not determine whether the allegations were true or false. Instead, the judge found that the court lacked the authority to hear the claims against Roc Nation in Texas.
As a result, the lawsuits against the company have been dismissed, although the plaintiffs could potentially pursue the claims in another jurisdiction.
The legal dispute is one of several battles that have erupted from the increasingly hostile feud between Jay-Z and Buzbee.
Tensions escalated after Buzbee filed a lawsuit that included sexual assault allegations against Jay-Z. The lawsuit was later withdrawn.
Jay-Z strongly denied the allegations and launched an aggressive legal response, accusing Buzbee of advancing false claims and pursuing a campaign against him.
Since then, both sides have been locked in a series of legal confrontations involving multiple lawsuits and counterclaims.
The latest ruling represents a victory for Roc Nation and Jay-Z’s legal team, at least for now, as they continue to challenge claims arising from the broader dispute.
Buzbee has not publicly commented on the judge’s decision.
The legal fight between the billionaire rapper and the Texas attorney remains ongoing, with additional proceedings expected as both sides continue to battle in court.
