Rapper EBK Jaaybo has pleaded guilty to federal weapons and drug charges linked to an Arkansas traffic stop that led to his arrest last year.

The Stockton, California, artist, whose real name is Jaymani Gorman, entered guilty pleas on June 4 to possession of a machine gun and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, bringing an end to a legal case that began with his 2025 arrest. His co-defendant, Xavier โ€œBaby Maxxโ€ Jones, also admitted guilt to the same charges.

According to court documents, the pair were taken into custody during a traffic stop in Arkansas in May 2025. Authorities allegedly recovered an illegally modified Glock handgun, approximately five ounces of marijuana and $8,534 in cash.

Federal prosecutors had initially filed multiple charges against Jaaybo, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, transporting a firearm across state lines while under indictment, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a machine gun in furtherance of a drug trafficking offence. However, several of those counts were dismissed under the terms of the plea agreement.

The case drew additional attention after investigators reportedly linked the seized firearm to a non-fatal shooting involving Bay Area rapper DreamllifeRizzy, born Jarico Anderson, two months before Jaaybo’s arrest.

Reports indicate that DreamllifeRizzy and Jaaybo were involved in an ongoing rap rivalry. DreamllifeRizzy, who has been identified in reports as an alleged member of San Francisco’s Double Rock gang, later released a track titled “EBK Killer” following the shooting incident.

Authorities have not closed the shooting investigation, and that matter remains active.

Jaaybo is expected to return to court for sentencing at a later date. The machine gun conviction alone carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in federal prison.
