Lil Yachty is taking his involvement with WWE to the next level after stepping inside the company’s training facility and beginning formal wrestling instruction at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
The Atlanta-born artist, who recently appeared alongside Trick Williams on episodes of Monday Night Raw, was featured in newly released footage showing him learning the fundamentals of professional wrestling.
The training clips serve as a preview of a longer feature scheduled to debut on WWE’s YouTube channel.

Speaking during the session, Yachty acknowledged that he was entering unfamiliar territory.
“This is new for me,” he said. “I’m at ground zero.”
The video captures the rapper working through introductory drills designed to teach aspiring wrestlers how to move safely and perform inside the ring. Veteran WWE coach Norman Smiley oversaw much of the training, while Trick Williams joined Yachty for several exercises.
Williams encouraged the rapper throughout the workout, praising his progress as he adapted to the demanding environment.

For Yachty, the experience appears to be more than a publicity stunt. A longtime wrestling enthusiast, he said stepping into the ring has been a personal ambition for years and described the training as both physically exhausting and motivating.
“It’s a challenge and testing my body in ways I’ve never done before,” Yachty explained. “I enjoy the pain. I enjoy the struggle because I feel like I’m working.”
The rapper also made it clear that he hopes to become more than a celebrity guest on WWE programming.
“I’m always setting goals,” he said. “Now the goal is to transform this body and start whooping some a– in that ring.”
Yachty’s WWE journey began in April when he appeared on an episode of SmackDown alongside Trick Williams, sparking speculation that his involvement with the company could extend beyond a one-off appearance.
While celebrity appearances in professional wrestling have become increasingly common, Yachty’s decision to undergo formal training suggests he is pursuing a more active role.
If his commitment continues, he could eventually join a growing list of entertainers who have successfully crossed over into sports entertainment.
Known outside wrestling as Miles Parks McCollum, Lil Yachty rose to prominence in 2015 with the viral success of “One Night” before releasing his breakthrough mixtape Lil Boat in 2016.
Over the years he has built a diverse music career that includes albums such as Teenage Emotions, Lil Boat 2, Nuthin’ 2 Prove, Lil Boat 3, and the critically acclaimed psychedelic rock-inspired project Let’s Start Here.
Now, the Grammy-nominated artist appears ready to test himself in an entirely different arena as he pursues his latest ambition inside a WWE ring.
