Rapper Cardi B is following in the footsteps of Rihanna, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian with reports she is set to extend her B-brand by opening a beauty company.
Her company, Washpoppin Inc., filed legal documents to lock the rights to the phrase ‘Bardi Beauty’ which she apparently wants to use on a ton of merchandise.
According to a report by TMZ, trademark docs reveal that Cardi aims to sell a bunch of glam products that includes cosmetics, fragrances, hair care, skincare, nail polish, nail enamel.
Cardi B has not yet announced the news yet but the documents signed on 16 April 2021 includes her signature with her real name as the CEO of Washpoppin.
In March Cardi announced she would be launching a hair care line in an attempt to teach people about ‘Afro Latina’ hair. She did not mention that the line would have other beauty products too.
“This year I will be coming out with a hair care line. I think it is time for people to educate themselves on nationality, race and ethnicity,” read her Instagram post.
If all goes according to plan, Bardi Beauty could be hitting the stores soon.
It is not surprising that the Bodak Yellow hit maker decided to venture into this line of business as she has been serving fashionable looks both wardrobe and makeup wise.
She has partnerships with different companies like Fashion Nova, for signature collections and curated items.
