Hollywood movie star Samuel L. Jackson has received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and wore an Avengers-themed mask to mark the occasion.

The 72-year-old star took to Instagram sharing a photo outside The Forum in Inglewood, California where he received his first dose of the vaccine. He captioned the picture: “At The Forum getting that 1st Jab!! #lookoutworlddouttobustbackout #vaccinespring #9sic).’

The Marvel star will receive his next jab in the coming weeks.

In previous posts the actor had been pleading with his fans to stay safe during the pandemic, “Stay the f*** at home.”

Jackson has been active in helping slow the spread of virus, in April he appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ where he read a children’s bedtime story.

The story read: “The ‘rona is spreading/This Sh** is no joke/ It’s no time to work or roam.

“The way you can fight it/ is simple, my friends/ just stay the f** at home.”

He felt that reading the story on TV was one of the ways he could offer help during the global health crisis.

“We talked about what we could do to remind people of social distancing, and where we are in these times now,” he said.

Meanwhile the ‘Terminator’ star, Arnold Schwarzenegger has also received his covid-19 vaccination dose.

The 73-year-old actor shared the news on his twitter saying, “Today was a good day. I have never been happier to wait in a line. If you’re eligible, join me and sign up to get your vaccine. Come with me if you want to live! Thanks for checking me in at @Dodgers Stadium, @MayorOfLA! What a crazy surprise. (Sic)”
