Dr Dre agrees to pay estranged wife $2 million in temporary maintenance

Billionaire rap mogul Dr. Dre has agreed to pay $2 million in temporary spousal support to his estranged wife Nicole Young amid their ongoing bitter divorce battle.

Dr Dre has however refused to pay for Young’s lawyers and legal bills. He will continue to pay for her living expenses at her Malibu home as well as for her mother’s house for the next several months.

As much as Dre will cover most expenses for Nicole, he will not cover the $5 million legal fees and other fees for her security. The 55-year-old rapper has been admitted at Cedar hospital after he was rushed in on Monday after suffering a brain aneurysm.

Posting on his Instagram, Dre said he was doing great and will be home soon.

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he wrote. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

A day after he was admitted in hospital, a suspected attempted burglary at his house was reported. The four individuals involved in the suspicious activity were all arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department.

He and Nicole young have been battling divorce since June 2020. They have been married for 24 years. Young filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and accusing Dre of numerous extra marital affairs. The estranged couple shares two adult children, son Truice and daughter Truly.
