Cardi B amends divorce papers as she seeks amicable split from Offset
Cardi B has amended some of the initial demands made in her divorce filing, as she wants to prevent an acrimonious split from fellow rapper Offset.
Cardi’s legal representatives had started in the initial filing that Cardi wanted legal custody and primary physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture.
However, according to TMZ, this is not the case as Cardi wants the Migos rapper to have joint custody of their daughter.
According to the Outlet, the WAP rapper also does not want child support as had been earlier stated.
Before the latest divorce proceedings, the couple’s relationship has had high-profile ructions. Following rumours of Offset’s infidelity in 2017, Cardi B said:
“No, it’s not right … But what you want me to do? Start all over again and get cheated on again? This shit happens to everyone.”
“The couple stayed together but briefly split in December 2018, with Cardi B saying: “Things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time … we just grew out of love.”
Cardi celebrated their second wedding anniversary with a post on Instagram last year, alongside a picture of the two of them together. “We keep learning and growing. That’s what marriage about,” read the caption.
