Dipset rapper Juelz Santana has been finally reunited with his family after serving 19 months of a 27 month sentence on weapons charges.

Despite his release, the rapper’s legal woes are not yet over as he is still on a year long probation and will also be subject to random drug tests. He is also expected to keep a steady job at that time.

His release came after a week long delay, according to his wife, reality TV star Kimbella. “Juelz was supposed to get released last Tuesday but some shit happened,” she said in a video posted to Santana’s Instagram page.

“But we’re outside of the prison now and he’s gonna be released any minute. And I’ll leave it all up to him when he gets out. Stay tuned!”

After his release, the rapper posted: “Free at last,” before adding, “#ImBack” and “#SantanaFree.” He captioned another photo: “I missed my family.. GOD is good!!!”

Santana was arrested at Newark Airport in March 2018 as he prepared to board a flight to San Francisco.

During an X-ray screening of his bag, “a Transportation Security Administration agent identified a suspected firearm,” according to court documents.

Santana then “retreated from the security checkpoint area without his belongings. He left behind a .38-caliber handgun, a New York State driver’s license and two bags.”
