An unidentified woman is claiming that Takeoff, a member of hip-hop trio Migos, raped her at a house party in June after stalking her for the better part of an ill-fated night.
The rapper, according to the woman who only filed the complaint as Jane Doe, had been eyeing her throughout the party that was held on 23 June in Encina, California.
He had earlier on offered marijuana and made advances to her which she rejected. The civil suite, filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles, also stated the rapper followed her to an upstairs bedroom and forcibly had intercourse with her.
The woman went to a hospital the same day, where the staff observed โphysical evidence of forceful rapeโ and alerted the Los Angeles Police Department, according to the suit.
โSheโs terrified,โ said Neama Rahmani, the womanโs attorney. โThereโs a significant disparity in wealth and power. Heโs a famous artist, he had security, there were weapons on the premises.
“She is someone who doesnโt have those resources and is also concerned about safety and retaliation. That adds an extra element in a case like this when heโs rich and powerful.โ

Takeoffโs representatives disputed the allegations, labelling them patently false.
โWe have reviewed the allegations and have similarly done our own due diligence. What has become abundantly clear is that the allegations made against Takeoff are patently and provably false.
“The claims and statements made regarding this lawsuit indicate that the plaintiffsโ representatives have not spoken with relevant witnesses or reviewed available evidence,โ a statement from the rapperโs representatives read.
Due to his reserved nature , his legal team noted, the rapper was bound to be targeted by those seeking to make money off him.
โTakeoff is renowned for his artistic talent as well as his quiet, reserved and peaceful personality. In this instance, those known personality traits have made him a target of an obvious exploitative money grab.
“As his counsel, we are well aware and well versed on the importance of civil and criminal prosecution of true sexual assaults. This is not one of those situations.โ Daily Mast
