Kanye West seems to have invited a fresh round of outrage and ridicule after he named self proclaimed “biblical life coach” Michelle Tidball as his running mate for the White House race.
A filing in Arkansas listed Tidball as his potential second in command, something Kanye hinted at in July.
In addition, the rapper filed signatures and paperwork Tuesday to get his name on the ballot for president in Wisconsin with 15 minutes left before the deadline.
The rapper needed 2000 signatures to get on the ballot and was helped in his quest by his third-party petitioning group, Let the Voters Decide.
Tidball looks the perfect fit for the rapper’s unconventional campaign, with scholar of religious studies at the University of Wyoming and Tidball’s former colleague, Mary L. Keller, telling the New Yorker recently that Tidball considered herself an “online prophet.”
“We went out for drinks, and she told me about this international group of people who are in touch with the divine and discuss it with each other,” Keller said before stating that Tidball predicted that Trump would win the election. “To her, his election was evidence.”
His selection seems to have sparked outrage online.
“Take your medication and get off your phone Kanye,” one person commented.
Another said: “Did he name his doctor yet…”. “I ain’t gon sit up here and bash him like everybody else but he needs a lotta psychological evaluations,” posted a third. Daily Mast
