Dr Dre ‘could lose $1 billion in war over prenup’ in divorce from wife Nicole
Dr Dre could lose a portion” of his $1 BILLION fortune in divorce from his wife, Nicole Young. She claimed that he “tore up” their prenup after he felt bad for allegedly pressuring her into signing it.
Young, who filed for divorce in June citing irreconcilable differences, says she was hounded into signing the agreement by Dre’s army of legal representatives against her own better judgment.
When she initially signed for divorce, Young had not indicated that a prenup was in existence.
“I was extremely reluctant, resistant and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner. Given the extraordinary pressure and intimidation by Andre, I was left with no option but to hire a lawyer (of course, with the help of Andre’s team of professionals) and unwillingly signed the agreement very shortly before our marriage,” she expressed in her filing.
She also noted that Dr Dre had purportedly torn-up copies of the agreement two years into their marriage, reassuring her it was no longer a factor.
“Andre acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me.
“Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement, and that it was null and void.”
According to TMZ however, the rapper had never expressed any reservations about the existence of the agreement and was only prepared to pay for her expenses and spousal support.
The gangsta rap pioneer is reportedly worth $800 million.
The couple has two children, son Truice, 23, and daughter Truly, 19 while Dre also has four other children from previous relationships. Daily Mast
