American singer Katy Perry put on an energetic display at the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup Final in Australia while proudly showing off her baby bump.
The 35-year-old American Idol judge took part in her first live performance since announcing her pregnancy in a new music video for the song “Never Worn White.”
She performed a number of her hit tracks, including Firework and Roar.
Before the event Perry had posted to her Instagram story saying;

“Hello Australia, hello Melbourne! We are here at the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup. I’m about to play it tomorrow.
“We’re trying to make it the most attended female sporting event ever.”
“….It’s going to be an incredible way to celebrate International Women’s Day tomorrow by cheering on one of your favorite teams,” Perry continued.
“The Indian team are playing and the Australia team are playing, and it’s going to be a lot of bada** women out there. I’m going to try and be one of them. We’ll see!”
Speaking about her choice of song to reveal her pregnancy, Perry told Mikey Piff of SiriusXM;
“This song is not the lead single off of my next record. But honestly I was getting way too fat to hide it. So I was like, ‘Well, I think this song would be a great reveal….’”
She added, “…That’s how I communicate things — I communicate through music — so I think, what better way to do that.”
“I’m sure it will be an untraditional way but, look, I’m joining the force of working moms out there,” she said. “And that is a very strong force. I love what I do and it doesn’t feel like work and it brings me so much joy, so I just want to continue that state of joy.”
This is Perry’s first child with 43-year-old fiancé, English actor Orlando Bloom.
