Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly transported from federal prison to hospital after suffering a head injury during the early hours of Saturday morning.
An ambulance is said to have left FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey at approximately 1am, taking the 56-year-old music mogul for emergency medical treatment.
The cause of the injury remains unclear, and neither the prison nor Combs’s representatives have confirmed where he was treated.
Diddy returned to prison before sunrise
Sources familiar with the incident told TMZ that Combs’s injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
He was reportedly conscious and able to speak when he was returned to the prison before sunrise, suggesting he spent only a few hours away from Fort Dix.
It is not known whether the injury resulted from a fall, accident, medical episode or an incident involving another person.
A representative for Combs told Page Six that his team was aware of the reports and trying to confirm what had happened.
“Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out,” the representative said.
Prison officials have not publicly addressed the reported medical emergency.
Medical incident follows turbulent weeks in prison
The hospital visit follows several weeks of scrutiny surrounding Combs’s imprisonment.
He was reportedly moved to the prison’s special housing unit after NBC News published allegations that he had enjoyed unauthorised privileges at Fort Dix.
Former inmates alleged that Combs had access to contraband, including a mobile telephone and alcohol, and received massages and specially prepared meals.
His representatives disputed claims that he had broken prison rules, maintaining that he was serving his sentence appropriately while pursuing an appeal.
Combs was also reportedly involved in an altercation with another inmate in July, which previously resulted in him being placed in segregated housing.
There is currently no evidence connecting either episode to his head injury.
Diddy’s release date moved to March 2028
Federal Bureau of Prisons records now list Combs’s projected release date as 2 March 2028, replacing the previous date of 21 January 2028.
The Bureau of Prisons has declined to explain the change, citing privacy, safety and security considerations. It has therefore not been officially established that the revised date is connected to the allegations about contraband or his reported prison conduct.
Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
A federal jury acquitted him of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. His legal team has appealed his convictions.
Combs remains at FCI Fort Dix following his return from medical treatment. Further details about how he suffered the head injury have not been released.
