Adult film stars Joanna Angel and Small Hands are reportedly involved in a bitter divorce battle over their finances and a Los Angeles-area property.
Angel filed for divorce from Small Hands, whose real name is Aaron Thompson, in New York in November 2024, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The case has been sealed, preventing the public from accessing its detailed filings. However, sources said proceedings remain active as the estranged couple attempt to divide their marital estate.
One of the central points of contention is reportedly a Los Angeles-area house that Angel purchased before the marriage.
According to TMZ, a deed signed in 2018 states that Thompson surrendered any interest in the property and recognised it as Angel’s sole and separate asset.
Small Hands accuses Joanna Angel of leaving him with nothing
Thompson accused his estranged wife of obstructing efforts to settle the divorce and claimed previous judicial decisions had gone against her.
“I have tried endlessly to settle this, but it is Joanna who has sought to leave me with nothing, even while each judicial decision has been against her,” he said.
“I continue to hope that she will come to her senses and we can finally reach a resolution.”
Because the case is sealed, the full history of the court’s decisions and the parties’ competing financial claims cannot be independently assessed from publicly available documents.

Angel offered a sharply different account and questioned Thompson’s claim that he wanted their marriage to end amicably.
“Aaron told me, my lawyer, and Instagram that he wanted an ‘amicable divorce’ when I left two years ago,” she said.
“And goddamn, I’d hate to see what a non-amicable divorce looks like to him.”
Angel suggested the cost of the continuing legal battle could force her to remain in the adult entertainment industry much longer than she had planned.
She joked that working into her 90s to pay legal fees and any eventual financial judgement was not part of her retirement plan.
“In retrospect, maybe starting a business at 21, working my ass off, saving my money and buying a house was where I went wrong,” Angel added. “I should’ve bought more handbags.”
Couple married in Halloween ceremony
Angel and Thompson reportedly began dating around 2013 before announcing their engagement in 2016.
They married later that year during a Halloween ceremony in Las Vegas on 31 October.
The couple subsequently worked together in the adult entertainment industry and co-hosted the podcast Just the Tips with Joanna Angel & Small Hands, which ran from 2023 until 2024.
Neither side has announced that a settlement has been reached, and the sealed divorce proceedings remain unresolved.
