Quavo has announced plans to revive Migos alongside Offset, saying the pair intend to release new music before taking the group back on tour.
The rapper revealed the plans during an interview with DJ Greg Street on Atlanta radio station V-103, describing the proposed comeback as one final chapter for the influential hip-hop group.
“We comin’ back. We’re going to do it one more time. The Migos are back,” Quavo declared.
New album and tour planned
Quavo said he and Offset want to handle the reunion properly, with plans to record a new Migos project and eventually perform the music on tour.
Although his comments represent the clearest confirmation yet that a comeback is being planned, no album title, release date or tour schedule has been announced.
Offset has also not publicly issued a matching statement confirming the precise details disclosed by Quavo.
However, signs that the two rappers were working together emerged in May when Offset shared a picture of himself and Quavo inside a recording studio. The official Migos Instagram account subsequently posted an image suggesting that activity involving the group was under way.
Offset had previously said a reunion was “possible” and that he remained in regular contact with Quavo.
Carrying Migos forward without Takeoff
Any return would inevitably be shaped by the absence of Takeoff, the third member of Migos and Quavo’s nephew.
Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, on 1 November 2022. He was 28.
His death appeared to bring Migos to a permanent end. Offset later described Takeoff as the group’s “glue” and “real leader”, saying in 2023 that continuing without him would not feel right.
Quavo and Offset reunited publicly at the 2023 BET Awards, performing Bad and Boujee in an emotional tribute to their late bandmate. Offset later described the appearance as a healing experience that helped him close the chapter respectfully.
Quavo has also continued honouring Takeoff through his music. His 2023 solo album Rocket Power was dedicated to him, while the 2025 song Dope Boy Phone featured a posthumous Takeoff verse.
From Atlanta beginnings to global success
Quavo, Offset and Takeoff formed Migos in Georgia in 2008 and became one of the defining groups of the modern Atlanta rap movement.
Their distinctive delivery and ad-libs helped shape the sound of mainstream hip-hop during the 2010s.
The trio released four studio albums: Yung Rich Nation in 2015, Culture in 2017, Culture II in 2018 and Culture III in 2021.
Their biggest songs included Bad and Boujee, MotorSport, Stir Fry, Walk It Talk It and T-Shirt. Bad and Boujee, featuring Lil Uzi Vert, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Quavo’s announcement suggests the surviving members are now prepared to continue the Migos name while preserving Takeoff’s place in the group’s legacy.
