Former NBA champion Dwight Howard has filed for divorce from his wife, Amy Luciani, in Georgia, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage.
Court documents list the couple’s wedding date as January 11, 2025, and note that they do not share any children.
The filing comes shortly after Luciani posted a video online making several accusations against Howard, including an unverified claim that one of his daughters had been taken by Child Protective Services.
Howard responded to the allegations on Snapchat, denying drug use and writing, “Y’all will believe everything y’all see on the internet lol… I have never done coke in my life.”
The couple’s relationship has been public and tumultuous over the past year. Luciani initially filed for divorce in July 2025, about six months after their marriage, but later withdrew the petition. Howard also filed for divorce during that period, only to dismiss it.
No additional statements have been released by Howard’s representatives, and it remains unclear how the divorce proceedings will unfold.
