The L.A. County sheriff has been awarded a search warrant to seize the black box in the vehicle in which Tiger Woods crashed.

The warrant was issued because the judge believed there was a probable cause to believe a crime may have been committed and sources say the possible offense could be reckless driving by Woods.

The probe is because of certain anomalies noticed during the investigation of the crash.

The fact that there were no skid marks, the objects struck by the SUV before it came to rest, the fact that it was a single-vehicle crash and of cause Tiger’s injuries as well as the damages on the vehicle suggests it could have been excessive speeding.

However, some sources have said there is no specific crime listed in the warrant.

Other sources say its either a member of the Sheriff’s Dept. went into the judge’s chambers to discuss the warrant and mentioned reckless driving , or the judge simply looked at the documents and determined there was a probable cause of possible reckless driving.

Law enforcement sources say examining the black box for a reckless speeding is the main object in the search warrant.

As much as the probe could be on reckless driving, one crime is excluded, that is- impaired driving for there is no evidence of such on Tiger’s part.
