Football legend, Diego Maradona’s personal doctor has been put under investigation for possible negligence leading to the death of the World Cup winner last week.

Law officials have ordered a search into Dr Leopoldo Luque’s properties. About 60 police officers are reported to have raided the two properties belonging to the doctor.

This comes after some witnesses whispered to law officials that Diego and his doctor were not in a good relationship and they had been seen fighting. Maradona succumbed to a heart attack.

After the new rumoured evidence his death has now been ruled as ‘culpable homicide’.

Dr Luque has denied these allegations saying people are emotional and probably looking for someone to blame.

In an interview Luque said, “They are trying to make me the scapegoat,” he denied the allegations with a tear from his cheeks.

The doctor is also accused of allowing Diego to leave the hospital 8 days after surgery, however, it is not clear if this is the foundation of his charges.

Diego was not with his doctor when he died. He called for emergency services but the ambulance took more than an hour to attend to him.

Diego’s family feels this was a homicide and have demanded investigations into Maradona’s death.

Football star Lionel Messi honored Maradona after scoring a goal, he ripped off his shirt exposing Maradona’s legendary jersey.

Maradona led Argentina to winning the 1986 World Cup, scoring the legendary ‘Hand of God’ goal against England before adding a second goal after dribbling the entire English team.
