An audio of Rihanna seemingly confessing her ongoing ties with Chris Brown has not shaken his baby mama, Ammika Harris, with the model posting a carefree picture of herself and their child as rumours sparked by the audio dominated on social media.
A nearly decade old interview between the Barbadian star and Oprah resurfaced on social media this week, with some followers taking it as evidence that Brown and his former flame were still smitten with each other.
The duo’s infamous romance ended acrimoniously after Brown assaulted Rihanna severely.
In the audio, Rihanna can be heard narrating how the two ex-lovebirds are trying to fix their relationship.
“We’ve been working on our friendship again. We’ve very close friends. We built a trust again and that’s it. We love each other and probably always will,” she told the talk show host.
“That’s not anything we‘re going to try to change. It’s not something you can shut off if you’ve ever been in love.”
At the time of the interview, Brown was in a relationship with Karrueche Tran, and when quizzed about whether they were seeing each other she said “No, he’s in a relationship of his own. I’m single, but we have maintained a close friendship since the restraining order was dropped.”
Despite the swirling rumours, Harris respondent nonchalantly, posting a picture of herself with Brown’s son.
Her recent posts have done little to quell rumours that she had broken up with Brown.
“I’m at the ‘don’t talk to me unless you wanna wife me’ stage,” the model posted last month, with many claiming it was throwing shade at Breezy.
Weighing in on the topic, some fans have said that Brown has previously claimed he doesn’t really believe in marriage whilst others suggested he clearly was not ready to get married.
