Kanye West has denied working in cahoots with Republicans in order to thwart Joe Biden at the polls in November, saying he could not be used by the party as he was richer than its nominee, President Donald Trump.

Kanye has been criticized for throwing his hat into the ring for the November poll, with Democrats and other critics seeing it as a blatant attempt to siphon young African American votes from Biden.

Kanye has in the past thrown his weight behind Trump and his campaign has been mired by allegations that Republican operatives had a hand in his campaign.

The allegations came in the wake of reports that West’s campaign has been aided by known Republican Party operatives, including Mark Jacoby, who was arrested on voter-fraud charges and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor while working for the California Republican Party in 2008.

In an interview with Cannon at his Wyoming ranch, the presidential candidate denied that he was a Republican proxy.

“People keep on saying I think that y’all, you and Republicans, are in cahoots,” West said, to which Cannon responded by noting how some have said that Republicans are “paying you to do what you’re doing to be a distraction” in the 2020 election.

“Bro, can’t nobody pay me,” West, whose campaign has been recently accused of using deceptive signature-gathering methods, said. “I got more money than Trump.”

In another clip, West says that he’s “not running” for POTUS. “I’m walking.”
