Diddy’s troubles could follow him straight through the prison gates

A source claims the music mogul’s civil lawsuits, damaged business empire and mounting legal costs could follow him long after his sentence ends.

Sean “Diddy” Combs may be facing years of legal and financial turmoil after completing his federal prison sentence, according to a new report.

A source told In Touch that the disgraced music mogul’s eventual release will not bring an end to his problems, with numerous civil lawsuits, damaged business relationships and mounting legal expenses still hanging over him.

The warning follows a turbulent period behind bars that included a mysterious head injury, disciplinary controversy and his transfer to another federal prison.

Head injury followed by prison transfer

Combs was taken to hospital after reportedly suffering a non-life-threatening head injury while incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

Conflicting accounts have emerged about how he was hurt. One report claimed he struck his head on a bunk bed, while another alleged that he was injured during a confrontation with another prisoner.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons disputed reports of a fight but declined to explain the cause of the injury, citing privacy and security considerations.

Combs was conscious and able to speak when he returned to prison following treatment.

He was subsequently transferred to FCI Allenwood Low, a low-security federal prison in Pennsylvania. Officials confirmed the move but did not publicly disclose why he had been relocated.

Legal battles could continue for years

Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transporting people across state lines to engage in prostitution.

He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges brought against him during his highly publicised federal trial.

His projected release date is currently listed as 2 March 2028 after being moved back from January.

However, leaving prison would not end his involvement with the courts. Combs continues to face numerous civil lawsuits containing allegations of sexual assault, abuse and other misconduct.

He has denied wrongdoing in the civil cases, and the allegations must still be tested through the courts.

Questions over unpaid legal bills

The rapper’s legal expenses have also become a growing issue.

Attorneys representing him in some civil matters have sought permission to withdraw, alleging that he failed to pay legal bills and had stopped cooperating with them.

In one filing, lawyers claimed Combs had not made a payment towards certain fees and expenses for several months.

The disputes raise questions about how much of his remaining fortune could be consumed by litigation after his release.

His once-powerful business empire has already suffered considerable damage, including the collapse of major commercial partnerships and the declining value of brands connected to his name.

Comeback could prove difficult

Although Combs may attempt to rebuild his public image and music career, the source claimed that the scale of the allegations and continuing court battles would make any comeback extremely difficult.

The 56-year-old could also face substantial financial judgments if any of the outstanding civil claims against him are successful.

For now, Combs remains at FCI Allenwood Low while his lawyers pursue an appeal against his conviction and sentence.
